Its navigation technology was effective, navigating close to walls without falling and avoiding steps. It was unable to handle fine particles and didn't always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise is also quite high, so it may be less of a set-and-forget model than some.
Like most robotic vacuums and mops, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you refill its clean water as well as empty its dustbin and mop pad, as well as wash and dry its mop. It's smaller than its rivals however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has decent suction power and can be set to take pictures of every object it picks (i.e. chew toys socks, chew toys) and mark them in the app as 'not located', so that they won't be taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are secured and aren't linked to your account.
It is great at vacuuming, but it's not so well in mopping. It uses disposable wipes that are clipped to the bottom of the bot and drags them across the floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
